New post office for district

Kukuom (B/A) April 12 GNA – Mr. George Yaw Boakye, acting Asunafo District Chief Executive (DCE) in Brong-Ahafo Region, on Thursday handed over the keys of a 40 million cedis office building for Asunafo South District of the Ghana Education Service (GES) to Mrs. Akua Akobuor Debrah, Regional Director of the Service at a brief ceremony at Kukuom. Asunafo South District Assembly is one of the newly-created district.

Among those present at the ceremony was by the presence of Mr. Ignatius Baffour-Awuah, deputy Regional Minister and Mr. Mark Addi, District Co-ordinating Director. Mr. Baffour-Awuah and Mrs Debrah were also conducted round other on-going projects of the assembly. They included accommodation bungalows for DCE, District Director of Health Services and DCD.

The three projects were being funded through the District Assembly Common Fund at a total cost of 1.370 billion cedis. In a brief remark Mr. Baffour-Awuah said the Asunafo North District deserved a pat on the elbow for a good job and called on other newly created assemblies in the region to emulate their effort.
