The Publicity Committee of the Planning Committee of Asantehene’s burial has warned that it is an offence to use the effigy or picture of the late Otumfuo Opoku Ware the second, Asantehene or any paraphernalia for sale without the consent of the planning committee.
A press release signed by Baffour Appiah Dankwa the third,Anantahene and chairman of the publicity committee in Kumasi.today, warned that any such item produced or found on the market without prior approval of the committee will be seized and the producer handed over to the law enforcement agencies. “Any person or organisation who intends to mechandise anything in connection with the burial must contact the publicity sub- committee at the Centre for National Culture in Kumasi.
