Brakwa receives street light bulbs

Brakwa (C/R), April 5, GNA – The Brakwa Citizens Union (BCU) in USA last Thursday presented 58 electric bulbs valued at three million cedis to Brakwa community to assist in the face lift of the town. Two weeks earlier the same union presented 100 books on English and mathematics estimated at 3.5 million cedis to five Junior Secondary Schools (JSS) in the town.

Making the presentation, the delegate from USA, Mr Francis Obeng and Mr. Luke Achenie, the representative in Ghana advised the recipients to put the bulbs to proper use and make requisition for more if the need arises.

Receiving the items, the Secretary for Brakwa Town Council, Mr Samuel E. Asiedu thanked the association and appealed to the citizens resident in United Kingdom and elsewhere to emulate the shinning gesture.

He promised that the bulbs would be distributed to the four electoral areas in the community.
