NPP Sacks Former MP

The immediate past member of Parliament or Okaikoi North, Mr. Joseph Darko-Mensah and 19 others New Patriotic Party (NPP) members in the constituency, including Yaw Dickson Adjei Amankwah, who stood as Independent candidate in the 2004 election have been expelled from the party.
A statement signed and issued in Accra indicated that their expulsion was necessitated by their disloyalty to the party. Their expulsion has become necessary due to their violence, dangerous and intimidatory conduct against other members of the party, prior to the 2004 elections. ?The actions caused extensive damage to party property at the constituency office?, the statement noted.
