9 killed in accident at Gomoa Bujumbura

Gomoa Bujumbura (C/R) March 30, GNA-Nine people, many believed be to Liberians were killed and several others received various degrees of injuries when an Urvan bus on which they were travelling from Gomoa Bujumbura to Kasoa was involved in an accident at a stop near Gomoa Bujumbura on Wednesday

Mr. Charles Adalong, Kasoa District Police Commander told the Ghana News Agency at Gomoa Bujumbura that the Urvan, which loaded at the Bujumbura lorry station swayed from its lane and collided with an oncoming tipper truck.

The bus was virtually torn into pieces, killing nine of the passengers made up of two women and seven men. He said the bodies that have not yet been identified have been deposited at the Winneba government hospital mortuary for autopsy, while the injured are receiving medical attention at the same hospital.
