Man in court for threatening to kill ex-wife

Cape Coast March 30, GNA- A circuit court at Cape Coast on Wednesday, granted one Matthew Bonny a 10 million- cedi bail with a surety to be justified, for allegedly threatening to kill his former wife, Madam Awura Adjoa and causing unlawful damage. Bonny who pleaded not guilty, would re-appear on Wednesday April 13.

Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector Augustine Amonoo told the court presided over Mr Mustapha Logoh, that Bonny and Madam Adjoa, who lives abroad, jointly owed a house at Ayiko-Ayiko a suburb of Cape Coast. He said on March 2, this year, Bonny visited a house where Madam Adjoa who had returned home was staying and forcefully opened the gate to the premises causing extensive damage.

Chief Inspector Amonoo said the accused also threatened to kill the complainant if she did not hand over documents to their house to him. Chief Inspector Amonoo said Madam Adjoa made a complaint to the Police leading to the arrest of the accused.
