Tema, March 27, GNA — The Very Reverend Henry Ampaw-Asiedu, Superintendent Minister of the Tema Circuit Methodist Church on Sunday called on Ghanaians, especially Christians to cultivate the habit of sacrifice to assist the needy.

Delivering the sermon at the Saint Paul’s Methodist Church to mark the Easter Sunday, he admonished Christians to reciprocate Jesus’ sacrifice with his death on the cross for mankind to also sacrifice in various ways to support and bring hope to the poor.

He asked Christians to reflect on the Saviour’s sufferings and let it manifest in their daily lives by eschewing negative activities that would only plunge them into difficulties.

Very Rev. Ampaw-Asiedu said at this era of civilisation the youth must be able to use their initiative to take up issues like cleaning the communities and assisting the aged in their activities since there is blessing in sacrificial work.

The Supt. Minister called on parents to monitor the activities of their children so that they do not over enjoy by taking in excessive alcohol, which has its own problems.
