Ghanaians urged to unite

Sekondi March 26, GNA – The Reverend Winfred Azornu, Kwesimintsim Sub-District Pastor of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, has called on Christians to use the celebration of Easter to unite to enable them contribute meaningfully towards the development of the country.

In an Easter message, he said the country could not make headway when there was disunity at home, workplaces and within Churches.

Rev Azornu said there was disunity in some families because the members belonged to different Christian denominations.

He said this should not be the case because they proclaim a common belief in Jesus Christ who should be a unifying factor.

Rev Azornu said Easter should be a time of exchanging greetings since until the death and resurrection of Christ mankind was not united to God.

He advised the youth to uphold Christian values and to abstain from pre-marital sex to avoid HIV/AIDS. 26 March 05
