Atimatim residents in Kwabre district in need of water

Atimatim (Ash), March 22, GNA – Residents of Atimatim in the Kwabre District have expressed concern about the absence of pipe borne water in the area resulting in the perennial scarcity.

Mr Ben Owusu, spokesperson of the residents who made this known to the GNA at Atimatim on Tuesday appealed to the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) for assistance to help address the problem.

He said the people were depending on wells as their source of drinking water while others had been compelled to spend most of their time in search of water.

Mr Owusu said the situation was affecting economic activities of the people and urged the District Assembly to help the town in the provision of facilities like a drainage system, classroom blocks and toilets.
