Hairdresser jailed for stealing

Nsawam, March 16, GNA – The Nsawam Magistrate Court on Wednesday sentenced a 21-year-old hairdresser, Ekua Theresa Amanobea, to one-and-half years imprisonment in hard labour for stealing personal effects and 2.5 million cedis. Amanobea pleaded guilty.

Prosecuting, Detective Chief Inspector Emmanuel Kwadjo Mikesukpor told the court that on February 14 Amanobea entered the Adeiso Presbyterian Secondary School and took away some ladies pants and some under wears.

The prosecutor said Amonobea on the same day she entered the Roman Quarters at Adaeso and took away clothes and a cash of 2.5 million cedis.
