No Casualty recorded due to rainstorm – Police

Accra, March 13, GNA – Mr Jonathan Yakubu, Assistant Commissioner of Police in Charge of Operations, on Sunday said the Police had not received any report of a casualty as a result of flooding in some Accra suburbs, following heavy rains in the early hours of the day.

Low-Lying areas within the Accra Metropolis, particularly Adabraka, Asylum Down and Kokomemle, were flooded overnight following the downpour which destroyed personal properties of some of the residents.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency, ACP Yakubu confirmed that those three areas were seriously hit by the rains, but added that his outfit received no report of death. He gave the assurance that the Police would be on the alert to help residents who had been affected by the rainstorm.
