Today is a public holiday

The general public is reminded that Sunday, March 6, 2005, Independence Day, is a statutory public holiday. A statement signed on March 1, by Papa Owusu-Ankomah, Minister of the Interior, said because the day falls on Sunday, the President, by Executive Instrument, has declared Monday, March 7 as a public holiday.
