District Manager of Produce Buying Company commends farmers

Suhum, March 06, GNA – Nana Kweku Appiah, the District Manager of Produce Buying Company, has commended cocoa farmers in the district for adhering to the advice of marketing clerks to ferment the beans for six days before drying them.

He said fermentation, apart from reducing the purple content, has also brought about improvement on the quality of the beans. Nana Appiah made the commendation at a meeting with the marketing clerks and chief farmers of the various societies in the district at Suhum.

He called on the clerks to continue to collaborate with the farmers and to enhance the quality of cocoa. Nana Appiah appealed to the clerks not to temper with the farmers’ bonuses
