Atwima-Mponua Assembly improves water system in communities

Nyinahin (Ash), March 4, GNA – The Atwima-Mponua District Assembly in conjunction with KFW, a German non-governmental organisation, had provided boreholes for 19 communities to solve their water problems. The beneficiary communities include Obuasikrom, Ampenkro, Mpawe, Debrakrom, Okyerekrom, Kansakrom, Mamsaso and Agogoso. The others are Saakrom, Ahyiresu, Ataso, Kwamedwaa, Nyamekrom and Mmoframfadwene.

Mr Charles Yeboah, acting District Chief Executive for Atwima-Nwabiagya, who acted as DCE for the area, told the Ghana News Agency at Nyinahin on Thursday that, in addition, 22 communities had benefited from the rural electrification programme.

Mr Yeboah commended the government for providing potable water, good sanitation and electricity to the people within its first four-year term in office.

The DCE gave the assurance that the government would extend more social amenities to the rural area.
