Brong Ahafo Police denies molestation story

Oforikrom (B/A) March 2, GNA – The Brong Ahafo Police Command has denied media reports that the police was behind the molestation of some members of the Besease Royal Family in the Techiman Municipality.

Chief Inspector Christopher Tawiah, Regional Public Relations Officer, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA), that at 1700 hours on February 22, the Regional Police Commander, Mr Yaw Adu-Gyimah dispatched personnel to quell a chieftaincy conflict at Oforikrom and not to arrest and molest the parties involved. A visit by the GNA to the town revealed that calm has returned and residents were going about their normal activities.
