National Service personnel asked to educate people on HIV/AIDS

Akim Oda, Feb. 24, GNA – National Service personnel have been called upon to educate people in their localities about the HIV/AIDS pandemic.

The Birim South District Coordinator of the Scheme, Mr Ebenezer Anim Darkwah who made the call at an orientation course for the personnel at Akim Oda on Thursday, said they must also assist in the crusade against diseases, ignorance, poverty and indiscipline and other causes that undermine under-development.

He asked them to be agents of change in the communities they serve.

“You should comport yourself and guard against any erroneous impression that you have only few months to stay at your stations and could therefore do whatever you like.” The personnel appealed to the National Service Secretariat to assist them to secure accommodation facilities at their duty posts. 24 Feb.05
