Bosomtwe NPP Council of Elders want DCE retained

Kuntanase (Ash), Feb. 24, GNA – The Council of Elders of the Bosomtwe constituency NPP has resolved to support the acting District Chief Executive for the Bosomtwe-Atwima-Kwanwoma, Mr Bright Addai Mununkum.

In a resolution adopted by 11 out of the 15-member council after a meeting at Kuntanase on Friday, the council of elders therefore, appealed to the President to retain the DCE to enable him continue with the good work he had started.

The resolution signed by Mr P. K. Adarkwa, Secretary to the council of elders and copied to the Member of Parliament for Bosomtwe, the constituency chairman of the party, the Ashanti Regional Chairman and the office of the President stated that, through the initiative of the DCE, there was absolute peace in all three units that formed the nucleus of the district namely Bosomtwe, Atwima and Kwanwoma. The resolution mentioned the springing up of development projects in every village, town or community and that every community had either benefited from a school block, a road project, provision of water or a clinic as well as other poverty alleviation assistances to raise the living standard of the people.

The elders, however, appealed to the NPP activists in the district to unite and stop the in-fighting, accusations and counter accusations, which do not auger well for the development of the party.
