GPRTU accepts 30% increase in fares

Accra, Feb. 23, GNA – The Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) has unanimously accepted the 30 per cent increase in fares as announced by the Government after last Friday’s fuel price hike. A statement issued in Accra on Wednesday said the National Executive Council of the Union accepted the new fares at its meeting in Accra on Wednesday.

“All drivers and transport owners are required to abide by the directives,” a statement signed by Mr Stephen Okudzeto, General Secretary of the Union, said.
