Pay National Service allowances – GNUPS

Accra, Feb. 22, GNA – The Ghana National Union of Polytechnic Students (GNUPS) on Tuesday appealed to the government and the National Service Secretariat to ensure that the national service allowance was paid early to ease the difficulties of service personnel It also asked the Social Security and National Insurance Trust to make sure that students’ loans were quickly.

“It is the hope of the Union that an immediate and a reasonable corresponding increase will be effected, in order to absorb the shock of the ripple effects of the increase in the price of fuel,” GNUPS said in a statement signed by Mr Samuel Ato Incoom, Press and Information Officer.

GNUPS urged the government to expedite action on the proposed Students Loan Trust to make it more accessible and sufficient to ease the financial burden on students.
