Gyasikrom (Ash), Feb 17, GNA – The Asante-Bekwai Agency of the Amansie West Rural Bank has presented blankets, bed sheets and hospital equipment to the Gyasikrom Health Centre near Bekwai.
Nana Kofi Donkor, the bank’s board secretary, Mr George Osei Mensah, supervising manager and Mr Anthony Doku Kwarteng, the Bekwai Agency manager, jointly presented the items to the centre.
Addressing the staff of the health centre, chiefs and people of Gyasikrom during the function, Nana Donkor advised them to save with the bank to enable them to access loans to expand their businesses.
He urged the cocoa farmers amongst them to insist on the purchase of their cocoa through the Akuafo cheque system.
Nana Donkor appealed to the people to form co-operatives to enable the bank to assist them.
Mr Kwadwo Adu, the Gyasikrom unit committee chairman, received the items on behalf of the health centre and thanked the bank for the donation.
