Valentine fever grips Oguaa

Cape Coast, Feb 15, GNA- The celebration of Valentine at Cape Coast was lively as most residents moved about in the Valentine colours of red and black.

At the commercial centre at Kotokuraba most gift shops were filled with customers, both young and old, bought Valentine gifts including flowers and teddy bears for friends and loved ones. Some residents told the GNA that they took the opportunity to express their affection for their loved ones and exchange gifts with them.

Ms Cynthia Owusu, a businesswoman, said she ”reached out to her friends and showed her appreciation for their support and friendship over the years.”

”The day is not for lovers alone but for faithful and loyal friends and family members who have supported us through thick and thin,” she said.

Kukua Dekowski, a beauty therapist, said “it will be very unfair if the day is left for only lovers and married couples, friends and relatives should also be appreciated”.
