Two jailed 40 years for defilement

Tarkwa, Feb 10, GNA – Two teenagers were today jailed 20 years each for defilement by a Tarkwa circuit court presided over by Mr John Aject Nasam.

They were Emmanuel Amponsah, 19, unemployed and Kweku Amponsem, 19, a telephone card seller at Tarkwa.

Prosecuting, Inspector Alexander Asamoah of Tarkwa Police said on 26th January Amponsem lured a 13-year old girl into a kiosk at an area called “18” at Tarkwa and forcibly had sexual intercourse with her. In the case of Amponsah, Inspector Asamoah said on 12th November 2004, Amponsah used money to lure a 15-year-old-girl into his room slept with her overnight.
