Tenant defiles landlord’s 10 year old pupil

Tema, Feb. 06, GNA — A 24-year old trader at Ashaiman who took advantage of the absence of his landlord and defiled his 10-year daughter has been remanded into prison custody by the Tema Circuit Court ‘B’.

The accused Frank Kojo Owusu pleaded not guilty to defilement and would re-appear before the tribunal on February 11, this year. According to Chief Inspector Edith Nutakor, on February 28, this year, the victim’s parents travelled to their hometown and left her in the care of her other siblings.

She said in the evening of the same day around 2100 Hrs the victim went to the accused person’s room to watch television and he lured her to the back of the room and forcibly had sex with her on a bench. Some few days later a witness in the case observed that the victim had difficulty in walking so she interrogated her and she confirmed her ordeal with Owusu.

A complaint was made to the Police and Owusu was arrested.
