Man suggests coins for 1,000 and 2,000 cedis notes

Tuobodom (B/A), Feb 04, GNA – Mr. Kofi Yeboah, a transport owner at Tuobodom, has suggested that the Bank of Ghana should replace the 1,000 cedis and 2,000 cedis notes with coins.

He told the GNA in an interview that the deterioration of the currency notes should be of much concern to every Ghanaian. Mr Yeboah said traders mishandled notes to the two denominations, especially market women and that people should be educated on the proper handling of notes.

He appealed to the Ministry of Roads and Transport to construct the Techiman-Kintampo trunk road to reduce accidents And attributed the numerous accidents on the highway to the potholes.
