Murder suspect arrested

(E/R), Jan. 27 GNA – The Police have arrested a taxi driver, Kwabena Ativor popularly called Maashaley, on suspicion of murdering his girlfriend, Akosua Gawuku, a trader at Asuboi, near Suhum. Police sources told the Ghana News Agency on Wednesday that on January 9, this year, the deceased accompanied Ativor to his farm to uproot cassava for sale and later enjoyed a meal together at about 1430 hours.

The following morning, January 10, Gawuku’s body smeared with faeces was found lying on a roadside.

The sources said when the Police visited the house of the suspect, the sandals, pants and handkerchief of the deceased were found.
