Mfantseman NHIS Directors inaugurated

Saltpond, Jan, 26, GNA – A fifteen-member Board of Directors for the Mfantseman District Health Insurance Scheme has been inaugurated at Saltpond.

Mr. Robert Quainoo-Arthur, Acting District Chief Executive who inaugurated the Board an advised the members to ensure effective management of claims since its success or otherwise depended on how claims from the members would be managed.

The DCE cautioned against fraudulent claims and advised the subscribers to be sincere.

He advised members of the board to work as a team, saying, “You all have equal stake in the success or failure of the scheme in the district therefore individualistic approach to work will not be in anyone’s interest”.

Mr. Kwesi Aggrey Fynn, a Consultant to the Insurance Scheme said 120 collectors had been trained for the collection of premium from members.

Mr. Daniel Kobina Koomson, District Coordinating Director, who chaired the function called for cooperation between the Board and the management to ensure the smooth administration of the scheme.

Mr. Frank Neequaye, Chairman of the Board, expressed gratitude to the District Administration for the confidence reposed in the members and gave the assurance that they would work hard.
