Kumasi, Jan 23, GNA – The Association of Liberal Transport Operators (ALTOPS), has congratulated Mr Sampson Kwaku Boafo, Ashanti Regional Minister designate, on his re-election as the Member of Parliament (MP) for the third consecutive time.
The Association also commended him on his re-nomination as the Ashanti Regional Minister for a second tenure of office. A congratulatory message signed by Nana Kwaku Owusu-Bempah, Chairman of ALTOPS, said, “Your victory in the December 7, 2004 parliamentary election is a clear demonstration that your people still maintain their solid support for you”.
The message said his re-nomination by the President as the Regional Minister underscored the confidence he (President) had in him and prayed that the Appointments Committee of Parliament would endorse his nomination to enable him to continue with his good work. The Association expressed the hope that his second term in office would witness a vigorous transformation in the transport industry and the socio-economic development of Kumasi in particular and the Region in general.
