Bush Fire destroys property at Zuime

Aflao, Jan. 18, GNA – Property worth millions of cedis were destroyed at Zuime-Agabadikope, near Aflao at the weekend, when bush fire destroyed three houses in the farming community.

Fourteen (14) people have been rendered homeless and are currently being sheltered and provided with clothing by friends and relatives. Mr Emiel Agbadi, a native of the village, told the Ghana News Agency that most of the affected people were busy in their farms when the fire gutted their houses.

He said but for the few men at home, who mobilised to quench the fire, the entire village would have been destroyed. Mr Agbadi blamed the fire on group hunters.
