Group hunters setting bushfires in Techiman

Adeso (B/A), Jan.17GNA- Mr Emmanuel Nketia, Assemblyman for Tuobodom Adantase Electoral Area in the Techiman Municipality, has advocated the setting up of anti-bush fire squads in the area, to check the activities of some group hunters who deliberatively start bushfires in other to facilitate their hunting expedition.

Mr Nketia who was speaking to the Ghana News Agency in an interview at Adeso, asked the authorities to imposed heavy sanctions on the culprits to serve as a deterrent.

If said if the practice was not checked, it could extend to neighbouring communities resulting in the loss of lives and property.
