Man suspected to be lynched on New Year’s Day

Kuntanase (Ash), Jan. 4, GNA – The body of an unidentified man in his mid-twenties and believed to have been lynched was on New Year’s Day found lying at Kokodei Junction, near Kuntanase in the Bosomtwe-Atwima-Kwanwoma district.

A source at the Kuntanase police station told the Ghana News Agency that someone informed the police about the body on the early morning of Saturday.

The source said examination of the body revealed that his face had been smashed with bruises all over it. It was naked. The police said the body had been conveyed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi and that no arrests had been made neither had anyone claimed ownership of the body.
