Add Sheanut & Guinea Foul To PSI

Right Reverend Bishop Emanuel A. Arongo of the Anglican Church in the Tamale Diocese has reiterated the appeal to government to include sheanut farming and guinea fowl rearing into the President?s Special Initiatives (PSI) for the people of the three northern regions.

That, he said, would go a long way to mitigate the high level of poverty among the people and serve as an avenue for wealth creation.

The Bishop made the call at Binaba in the Bawku West District of the Upper East Region during this year?s open day celebration of the Binaba Area Community Health (BACH) project.

The project, one of the development units of the Anglican Diocese of Tamale, was set up in 1987 with the vision of making life meaningful and enjoyable for the people of Binaba and its surrounding communities.
