KATH gets Urine Chemistry Analyser, 10 million cedis

Kumasi Dec. 22, GNA – Fairline Imex Limited, distributors of medical equipment, donated a Urine Chemistry Analyser and a cheque for 10 million cedis to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).

The equipment would assist in enhancing the accuracy of urine tests, produce results of urine samples of 50 patients within an hour and automatically analyse laboratory results to eliminate human error. The donation of the cheque is towards the Hospital’s 10 billion cedis Endowment Fund.

Mr Samuel Okine, the Executive Director of the company, said it was considering presenting the Hospital with a blood gas analyser. Miss Margaret B.Atiemo, Director of Nursing at the Hospital, commended the company for assisting the hospital. 22 Dec 04
