Three persons died in a road accident

Kade(E/R), Dec. 22, GNA – Three persons died, one on the spot, when a truck run over them at Kade in the Kwaebibrem district on Friday. While Mr Philip Kwaku Anyigba, 36, died instantly, Miss Elizabeth Mensah, 38, and Miss Evelyn Aborbie, 36, died shortly on admission to the St. Dominic’s Hospital at Akwatia.

A Police spokesman told the Ghana News agency that the three were walking by the roadside when Emmanuel Odonkor, driving Hyundai Mighty truck with registration number GR 945 V, from Kade towards Subi ran over them at about 2130 Hrs. on December 17.

Their bodies had been deposited at the hospital’s mortuary for autopsy.

Meanwhile, Odonkor had been granted police enquiry bail.
