Tema, Dec. 22, GNA – A 36-year-old fisherman who also operates a commercial driver near Ada-Foah, has been jailed 15 years for laving sex with a six year-old girl in his room by the Tema circuit court ‘B’. Buenortey Klokpa pleaded guilty to the charge of defiling a six year-old girl.
Prosecuting, Chief Inspector Edith Nutakor, told the court, presided over by, Mr Stephen Teye, that on November 22, 2004, at 1600 hours, the victim went to play in her relative’s house with her two year-old younger brother.
She said while playing, the accused, who is a tenant in the same house, asked the victim to take a cushion, which he had dried in the sun to his room.
The court heard that the accused immediately pushed the victim onto his bed, removed her panties, gagged her and forcibly had sex with her. Chief Inspector Nutakor said the victim who could not bear the pains after the act immediately informed her grandmother, who also alerted the victim’s father, as well as other relatives. The accused, who went out after the sexual act, returned home at 2300 hours and was apprehended.
