The statement reminded Ghanaians that with the elections now history, it was important that they all stood solidly behind the Kufuor administration to help bring about the accelerated progress envisaged under “Positive Change Chapter Two”, the government’s blueprint for the country’s development.

It announced plans to liaise with the hierarchy of the NPP and strategise on ways to boost the appeal and support base of the party in the Zongo areas.

”Although we are happy about the decisive victory of the party in the just ended polls, we are not particularly impressed about our performance in those areas.”

“We believe that we must move fast to identify factors that might have accounted for our poor showing in the Zongo communities and remove them in order to ensure a more satisfactory performance in 2008.”
