HelpAge Director on board of HelpAge International

Accra, Dec. 16, GNA – Prof. Nana Araba Apt, President of HelpAge Ghana, has been elected vice chairperson of the Board of HelpAge International.

The election of Prof. Apt, who is also Dean of Academic Affairs of Asheshi University College in Accra, was at a Board meeting held in London, according to a statement in Accra on Thursday signed by Mr Ebenezer Adjetey-Sorsey, Executive Director of HelpAge Ghana. HelpAge International is a leading global network of non-profit organisations with a mission to work with and for disadvantaged older people worldwide.

Its work is to achieve a lasting improvement in the quality of the lives of the aged.

HelpAge International Secretariat is located in London and it has five regional development centres in Africa, Asia-Pacific, Caribbean, Eastern Europe and Central Asia, and Latin America.
