GHACEM donates cement to NOBISCO

Tamale, Dec. 16, GNA – The Ghana Cement Company (GHACEM) on Wednesday donated 100 bags of cement to the authorities of the Northern School of Business (NOBISCO) in Tamale towards the construction of a boys’ dormitory.

Captain (rtd) Huseini Sambo, Depot Manager of GHACEM in Tamale who made the donation on behalf of the company said the gesture was in response to the school management’s request to improve school infrastructure.

He said NOBISCO was one of the deprived schools in the Tamale Metropolis, which needed support to rehabilitate dormitories and classrooms.

Capt Sambo said GHACEM had assisted about 20 schools in the Northern Region with more than 1,000 bags of cement for infrastructure development.

He called on other schools and clinics that needed to develop to submit applications for assistance and indicated his outfit was not helping individuals

Satia Na Salifu Seidu, Headmaster of NOBISCO, who received the cement, said the presentation had been timely since it would facilitate the building of a new dormitory for the boys. Na Seidu, appealed to NGOs and the government to come to the aid of the school to improve its facilities and academic work so that student intake would increase.
