25 year-old man convicted for stealing

Techiman (B/A) Dec.13,GNA- Mr. Justice Erasmus Gyinae, a High Court Judge sitting at the Techiman Circuit Court, has sentenced, one Fusani Kassim, 25, to two years imprisonment in hard labour for stealing personal effects valued at 6.5 million cedis, belonging to the complainant, Mr Richard Oduro.

Fusani pleaded guilty to stealing two amplifiers and a video deck. Prosecuting Police Chief Inspector Sampson Y. Jebuni told the Court that the accused was arrested after he had stolen the items during a funeral at Aworowa near Techiman on December 5 this year and was trying to conceal them in a bush.
