NADMO presents items to victims

Kwamekyemkrom (Ash), Dec 10, GNA- The Ahafo-Ano South District Office of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) has presented relief items worth about five million cedis to victims of a storm at Kwamekyemkrom in Ashanti.

The victims included Madam Felicia Dede, a 70-year-old woman. They were each presented with five packets of roofing sheets, students’ mattresses, blankets, polymats and lanterns.

The houses of the victims collapsed in a rainstorm a few weeks ago.

Presenting the items, Mr Johnson Kwaku Adu, the Ahafo-Ano South District Co-ordinator of NADMO, said even though the items were not much, they were meant to relieve them of some of their misery. Mr Stephen Balado Manu, Member of Parliament (MP) for Ahafo-Ano South donated 15 bags of cement to the victims for the rehabilitation of their houses.
