Atwima-Kwanwoma Rural Bank donates to KATH

Kumasi, Dec. 1, GNA – The Board and Management of the Atwima-Kwanwoma Rural Bank at Pakyi Number Two, on Wednesday presented electrical items worth eight million cedis to the Polyclinic and Out-Patient Department of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi.

The items were two 21-inch colour television sets and two video cassette players.

The Bank also presented a cheque for two million cedis to the Hospital to support its blood donation campaign. Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Mr Godfred Odame Asare, Chief Executive of the Bank said social contributions had been the priority of the Bank’s agenda.

He said the Bank had donated a number of items as well as financial assistance to schools and health facilities in its catchment area.

Mr Asare said the television sets would help in the education of patients on various health issues.

Mrs Margaret Atiemo, Director of Nursing Services at KATH, who received the items, thanked the Bank for the gesture. She said the items would enhance the preventive health education programmes of the Hospital and other health issues. Mrs Atiemo appealed to other individuals and organizations to assist the Hospital to provide quality health care delivery to the people.
