Chinese Vice-President Hu leaves

Accra (Greater Accra), 29 Jan. ’99 – The Chinese Vice-President, Mr Hu Jintao left Accra for home yesterday after a three-day official visit to the country. He was seen off at the airport by Vice-President John Evans Atta Mills, Chairman of the Council of State, Alhaji Mumuni Bawumiah, ministers of state, the Chief of Defence Staff, Lt. Gen. Ben Akafia, and the Inspector General of Police ( IGP), Mr Peter Nanfuri. While in the country, Mr Hu held bilateral talks with President Rawlings and senior government officials. He also laid a wreath at the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum and visited the Cocoa Processing Company at Tema.
