Driver fined for parking in the middle of the road

Accra, Nov. 25, GNA – An Accra Circuit Court on Thursday fined a driver 200,000 cedis for parking in the middle of the road and therefore causing road obstruction and inconvenience to other road users. The accused Kodey Teye pleaded guilty.

The Prosecutor, Police Chief Inspector Mensah-Abromra told the Court that on November 20, the accused parked in the middle of the road near Bus Stop Restaurant on the Ring Road Central to confront another driver whom he alleged had crossed him suddenly.

In the process the ACP Kofi Boakye, Greater Accra Regional Police Commander, who was driving along the Road saw him and consequently arrested and handed him over to the Nima Motor Transport and Traffic Unit.
