NDC slams the property owning democracy policy of the NPP

Akwadum (E/R), Nov. 15, GNA – The Eastern Regional Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Anthony Gyampoh has criticized the property owning democracy policy of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as being discriminatory against the poor.

He said the policy favoured only the rich and was responsible for the hardship being faced by the majority of Ghanaians. Mr Gyampoh was speaking at political rally at Akwadum, near Koforidua at the weekend, to formally launch the electioneering campaign of the NDC Parliamentary Candidate for New Juaben North, Mr Frank Mensah-Boateng.

He also accused the NPP of hiking school fees to make education the sole preserve of the rich.

Mr Gyampoh called on the electorate to vote the NDC back to power to enable the Party to pursue policies, which would recognize the right of the poor to a decent life.

The Regional Organizer of NDC, Mr Tawiah Boateng said the master plan for the rehabilitation of the 45-kilometre Koforidua urban roads was a project initiated by the main opposition Party and accused the NPP for taking credit for it.

Mr David Sarpong Mensah Boateng, New Juaben South Constituency Chairman of the NDC, accused the NPP of incompetence and said the controversial CNCTI Loan was a testimony to the misadministration of the Government.

The NDC Parliamentary Candidate for New Juaben South, Mr Kwesi Agyeman Gyan Tutu expressed disappointment that some people were destroying his posters and billboards.
