Court jails plumber for stealing

Sekondi Nov.12, GNA- A Sekondi Circuit Court, has sentenced one Issah Yussifu, alias Gbeizor, a 26-year old plumber, to three years imprisonment in hard labour, for stealing iron rods belonging to the Dunwell Methodist Church at Effiakuma.

The accused, pleaded guilty to stealing.

Prosecuting, Police Inspector Kumah Mensah, said on November 7 this year, the accused with two accomplices who are now at large, conspired and stole the items valued at 240,000 cedis.

He said while they were carrying their booty, they were spotted by a witness who raised the alarm leading to the arrest of the accused.
