Herbalist calls for extension of term of the Presidency

Kumasi, Nov 3, GNA- Mr Chiame Addo, a herbalist in Kumasi, has suggested that the four-year term for the presidency be extended to a five or seven-year term.

He also called for a constitutional amendment to be made for the President to contest again after serving his two-year term. Mr Chiame Addo, who is the Director of the Africa Number One Herbal Centre at Appiadu in Kumasi, said this in a statement issued to the press in Kumasi on Tuesday.

He explained that the extension of the tenure of the presidency would enable the President to execute his policies effectively. Mr Addo said this would also help deepen democracy in the country and allow the people to assess the government objectively. He praised Ghanaians for working hard to ensure that democracy was maintained.
