Accra, Nov. 3 GNA – The South African Foreign Minister, Dr Nkosazona Dlomini Zuma, on Wednesday morning left Accra after a three-day official visit to Ghana, which formed the first leg of a five-nation West African tour.
She discussed with Nana Akufo Addo, Ghana’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, economic and political issues of mutual concern to their countries.
These include events in the ECOWAS community, especially Guinea Bissau, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Cote d’Ivoire.
The two Ministers also deliberated on events in Darfur, Sudan and political developments in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Dr. Zuma and Nana Akufo Addo signed agreements on the creation of a joint commission for cooperation, avoidance of double taxation and cultural cooperation.
Other countries to be visited by Dr. Zuma are Mali, Senegal, Algeria and Chad.
Nana Akufo Addo, and Mr. Rapo Molekale, South African High Commissioner to Ghana saw her off at the Kotoka Airport, Accra.
