Kintampo (B/A), Nov. 1, GNA – Members of the Kintampo Number One Cooperative Yam Producers and Marketing Society Limited, have elected a nine-member Executive to manage the affairs of the society for a four-year period.
They are Madam Emma Hawawu Salifu, President, Miss Comfort Asuamah, Vice-President, Mr. Lawrence Ankomah, Secretary, Miss Memuna Iddrisu, Treasurer, Mr. Opoku Malik, Assistant Treasurer, Miss Alice Forkuo, Organiser, while Mr. Daniel Dapaah, Mr. Zibote Konkomba and Mr. Kofi Abudu were elected as members.
Mr. Ankomah told the Ghana News Agency in an interview that the new Executive would ensure that the necessary arrangements were made for members to cart their foodstuffs from the farm gates to the marketing centres.
Miss Forkuo, called on the Government extend credit facilities to members to enable them expand their business. She announced plans by the Society to construct a clinic for the Kintampo Market.
