Tarkwa Government Hospital organises public forum

Tarkwa (W/R) Oct. 22, GNA – Mr. Allen Anku, Administrator of the Tarkwa Government Hospital has appealed to the people to take active interest in the activities of the institution to enhance health service delivery. Speaking at a public forum on the operations of the Hospital at Tarkwa on Tuesday, he said it was only when the public took active interest in all aspects of the Hospital’s operations that services would improve for the benefit of all.

Mr. Anku said the people should be bold to criticise and offer suggestions as to how best health service delivery could be improved and noted with concern the poor interest shown by the people in the operations of the Hospital.

Dr. Ebenezer Acquah, Medical Superintendent in charge said similar forums would be organised periodically to enable the people to have a say in the running of the Hospital. He appealed to the people, especially those in the informal sectors to join the National Health Insurance Scheme for affordable and quality health service delivery.
