Supporters will pay GH¢50 for seated tickets and GH¢100 for VVIP access when Ghana play Somalia in their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the Essipong Sports Stadium in Sekondi.
The National Sports Authority (NSA) said students would be allowed into designated standing areas free of charge after the venue received temporary approval from CAF.
Students must show valid school identification cards at the stadium for verification before entry.
Tickets will go on sale at 10:00 GMT on Tuesday, November 10, with Essipong Sports Stadium the only authorised sales point. The NSA has advised supporters to use the official outlet and comply with the seating arrangements at the ground.
The match will bring competitive senior international football back to the Western Region after the Ghana Football Association (GFA) pushed for the fixture to be played at Essipong rather than the Accra Sports Stadium.
According to match-official appointments released by the GFA on Friday night, Ghana will host the Matchday Three fixture on Thursday, November 12, at 15:00 GMT. The referee will be Andre Onesime Kolissala-Mbangui of the Central African Republic.
Somalia do not have a CAF-approved stadium in their own country and will also use Essipong Sports Stadium as their designated home venue for the Matchday Four return fixture on Monday, November 16. That match will also begin at 15:00 GMT and will be officiated by Namibian referee Mweshitsama Negongo Naftal.
Ghana had not named their squad for the two-match series by Saturday morning. Former international Nii Odartey Lamptey has called on the technical handlers to select home-based players for the games.
An interim technical team is overseeing the Black Stars following the departure of head coach Carlos Queiroz. The group is led by Kim Lars Bjorkegren, with Ibrahim Tanko and Godwin Attram as assistant coaches and Fatawu Dauda serving as goalkeepers’ trainer.
Somalia head coach Yusuf Ali Nur has already selected a 24-man Ocean Stars squad for the two matches in Sekondi.
The squad is:
Goalkeepers: Abdirahman Mahamud Jama, Ibrahim Ahmed Hussein, Khalid Mohamed Nor.
Defenders: Abel Gigli, Ali Mohammed Omar, Mohamud Ali, Ahmed Abdullahi Abdi, Abdulle Abdullahi Abdulle, Faysal Abubakar Osman Omar, Abdiwali Abdirahman Mohamed, Mohamed Hassan Mohamed.
Midfielders: Jarma Ibrahim Abdi, Abdulrahman Mohamoud Sharif, Osman Mohamed Ahmed, Mukhtar Abdi Suleiman, Abdulsamed Abdullahi, Mohamud Mohamed Osman.
Forwards: Mubashir Nour, Sakariya Hassan, Issa Adan Yusuf, Ali Muse, Muse Jailani Bile and Bilal Njie Cali.
Neither side has taken a point from their opening two Group C matches. Ghana were beaten 2–0 away by Cote d’Ivoire before losing 4–2 to The Gambia in Accra.
The top two teams in the group will qualify for the 2027 finals, which will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
