NPP presents bicycles to Adansi South for campaign

New Edubiase (Ash), Oct. 20, GNA – The Ashanti Regional Secretariat of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Tuesday presented 35 bicycles and three motorbikes to the Adansi South Constituency of the Party for its electioneering campaign of Election 2004.

Mr Fredrick Fredua Anto, Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, who presented the items to the Constituency, said they were to assist the Party’s Polling Station Executives to reach the electorate in the remotest part of the Constituency.

This, he said indicated the preparedness and determination of the NPP to wrest the seat from the NDC come December.

He urged the polling station executive to adopt the one-to-one approach to explain the good works of the government to the people and also regard the supporters of other political parties as friends. Mr Anto admonished the Party’s supporters not to be complacent and be under the impression that the Party would win the elections with ease, pointing out that victory was not going to come easily. He charged the supporters to be up and doing, put on their campaign gear and plunge into serious campaign so as to win the seat in December. The Regional Chairman promised the readiness of the Regional Secretariat of the Party to provide all the needed logistics and materials they would need to win the seat since that seat was dear to the heart of the Party.

Mr Anthony A. Gyamerah, the Constituency Chairman, expressed gratitude to the Party for the support and promised that they would be put to very good use to ensure victory.

Mr Francis Dorpenyoh, the Constituency NPP Parliamentary Candidate, appealed to the Party’s activists in the area not to do anything that would breach the peace but conduct their campaigns in a peaceful manner.

He said the people in the Constituency must recognise the positive change that had taken place within the relatively short period of the NPP’s administration and vote massively for the Party.
